A moth trap is run on alternate nights approx. weather permitting (which it usually does!) Photographs taken of all species, strictly no collecting. Photos of most species available if required as a record of your stay (nominal charge). 300 species have been identified so far, including over 100 Geos. and over 100 Noctuids. It is rare to open the trap without finding at least one new species! If you are a micro specialist, there will probably be several - we're not! A full list of potential species depending on the month of the year is available. Moths fly all year round, so up to 100 insects, representing 30 species can be expected even in Dec and Jan. April, May and June are probably the peak months, but usually 100 plus insects year round. Library of 18 books on identification is available, together with a photographic record of all species identified so far.
The moth trap is operated under a permit held in collaboration with the University of Toledo.

Accomodation includes the use of a 12 metre swimming pool with saltwater system. Good local walks. Driving time from Malaga airport is 1 and quarter hours. Hire car can be arranged for approx. £100.00 per week, including insurance and no excess - will meet at Malaga airport or Gibraltar airport which is only 45 mins away and much "nicer"!!
