12V 6W LED Heath Moth Trap
Up to 14 hours of moth recording from a compact 7Ah lithium battery.
Battery-operated moth traps are becoming increasingly popular for recording moths away from the garden, offering a lightweight, economical and convenient alternative to traditional generators, which are heavy, expensive and require fuel.
Our battery-operated moth traps have been supplied worldwide and are particularly popular for fieldwork and moth surveys.
The 12V 6W LED Heath Trap is smaller than our Compact Skinner Trap, making it ideal for carrying to remote locations. The complete trap folds flat and can easily be transported in a day rucksack, together with a suitable battery.
Despite its low power consumption, the 6W LED produces catch rates comparable to traditional 12V 20W actinic traps. See our comparison graph for further details.

Low power consumption: Operates for approximately 12–14 hours from our 7Ah lithium battery, depending on ambient temperature and operating conditions.

If using your own battery, please check connector compatibility before purchasing. We can provide crocodile clips if required.
