The ALS 12V Double 6W LED Sphinx Robinson Moth Trap

from £444.00

12V Double 6W LED Sphinx Robinson Moth Trap

The Sphinx – ALS Double 12V 6W LED Robinson Moth Trap, manufactured from durable, white reflective polypropylene and supplied complete with two 6W LED bulbs.

Similar to our Double LED Lepidopterist Skinner Moth Trap, the Sphinx Robinson offers superior moth retention thanks to its traditional Robinson design. Once inside, moths find it much harder to escape due to the effective 'lobster pot' design.

The trap features a 60cm diameter body, a durable 2mm thick clear collar, internal drainage holes with protective gauze, and is supplied complete with all electrics & rain guard.

In terms of catch rate, the trap performs similarly to our SK28 Double 20W Sphinx Robinson Moth Trap.

Up to 14 hours of moth recording from a compact 16Ah lithium battery (available separately).

Battery-operated moth traps are becoming increasingly popular for recording away from the garden, providing a lightweight, economical and convenient alternative to traditional generators, which are heavy, expensive and require fuel.

Our battery-operated moth traps have been supplied worldwide and are particularly popular for fieldwork, moth surveys and recording in remote locations.
